Narrative:
A Sumter County man has been charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor younger than 11 and incest.
The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office received a report alleging that Robert S. Singleton Jr. forced the victim to engage in sexual activity. Investigators arrested Singleton on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2025.
Singleton was transported to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center, where he remains in custody after being denied bond.
