On November 09, 2024, at approximately 4:00pm, deputies responded to 201 John Mark Dial Drive (Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center) in regards to an assault. Upon arrival, deputies learned that inmates Joshua Bell (DOB: 06/16/2006), Fredrick Hunter (DOB:09/04/2003), and Willie Morton (DOB: 02/06/1979) became involved in a violent altercation and attacked two other inmates. The investigation revealed that the inmates were unsupervised at the time of the incident.
During the assault, two inmates sustained stab wounds. One of the victims was transported to a local hospital for treatment; the second victim was treated at the jail.
Inmates Joshua Bell, Frederick Hunter, and Willie Morton are all charged with Assault & Battery High and Aggravated in Nature and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime.
