In 2022, The Daily Counter News released an article on Dr. David Nahin, a Medical Review Officer involved in fraudulent South Carolina DSS drug tests. This article sparked an investigation into Premier Biotech, who conducted these fraudulent tests for the South Carolina Department of Social Services.
This investigation became National News as several truck loads of documents and equipment were removed from the main facility by the Federal Bureau of Investigations, along with other federal agencies.
One week after the article was released the company i3Logix, who Nahin worked for, announced his sudden passing.
Recently, The Daily Counter News was contacted by 2 Parents who stated they were victims of DSS fraud. These parents stated that their positive drug tests were signed by Dr. Nahin dated November of 2023, nearly a year and a half after his announced death.
The documents shown to the Daily Counter News were signed by Dr. Nahin dated November of 2023, a year and a half after his alleged death was announced. The compared signatures from earlier cases matched the November 2023 document. These new documents are from a Chesterfield County DSS case that is still ongoing and raises many more questions.
First, the Players in this Story:
Dr. David Nahin: A Medical Doctor from Wisconsin who lost his license in 1993, and then became a Medical Review Officer (MRO) for i3Logix out of Denver, Colorado.
Dr. Nahin received what is called a limited Medical license in 1994. This allowed him to use the title, but he was prohibited from any contact with patients, nor could he write any scripts for medications. It was given based on the fact he had completed the educational requirements for the title.
i3Logix: This company seems to reinvent itself every few years. In 2022, when we first began investigating it, it was listed as a paper industry company. Now, it has listed itself as a software company under the new title “Ballotrax”, which is an election monitoring company.
On the companies LinkedIn page, it lists many of its employees as software engineers but lists one MRO (not named).
SOUTH CAROLINA DSS: The State Agency is tasked to ensure the children of South Carolina are protected from harm and abuse.
Which is now headed by Mike Leach, formerly from Tennessee’s Department of Children’s Services. Where 1000’s of children went missing while within their system.
Mr. Leach interestingly states on his LinkedIn page, “that he is an influential promoter, able to sell projects to a skeptical audience.”
SOUTH CAROLINA CHILDREN: Individuals under the age of 18 who have no voice in the legal system within South Carolina.
THE PARENTS: The biological guardians of children under the State Law.

My name is Annette, I live in Texas and this Dr. Nahin was my mro as well. I had clean test throughout my case and on 3 different occasions my little girl was supposed to come home. On the last and final court date when again I thought she was coming come they said the last test had all these drugs in it and I knew they were lying and I begged the judge to let me pay for a test, I would take it right then and there. They terminated me. It’s a long story but my husband, her Dad passed away only months prior from a massive heart attack. I was struggling but using our money wisely and figuring out how to make things work because her Dad was our family’s soul provider. I kept the bills paid and then they show up. I let them in because I had nothing to hide. It was weird from the beginning. I had never heard of cops going through someone’s house like they did mine. They even had me open my safe that was in my closet. Went through my dresser drawers. I didn’t know what they were looking for but they didn’t find anything dangerous and the house was nearly spotless. They said they were there for neglect. If there was one thing my baby was not, it was neglected. It started there…..ended with lies and termination. I looked up the drug testing address that was supposed to be in Houston. It was an empty building. It didn’t even exist. Dr. Nahin signed off on my test. I’ve been in contact with a few girls here in Texas, same mro, even the same nurse signed it as well. This doctor has been signing test for dds. In several states, or should I say falsifying them to take kids that they could not get otherwise. Mro stephen paschell is partner who also falsely failed my grandkids and the judge wouldn’t allow me to pay for the kids to be retested they have test that transmitted back before they were sent even cos has taken the kids adopted them out all over mro stephen paschell failed them not to say he had lost his medical license at the time of the testing he failed his drug test and clearly wasn’t allowed to sign anything here in medina county texas cps is so corrupt her I have proof of everything but no one helps
