





Sheriff Leon Lott announces the arrest of 6 individuals connected with the shooting at the Villages at Lakeshore in May.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate the shooting and is praising the community for coming forward with information and sharing their videos that helped identify the individuals and led to their arrest.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at approximately 8:00 p.m., when deputies were called to the scene for multiple guns shots in the area. The incident left a 16-year-old with a gunshot wound.
Deputies recovered over 80 shell casing from the incident and investigators have linked ballistics to other shootings in the area, which are still under investigation. Thus far, they have recovered 7 guns and several of these have been linked to other crimes in the Midlands area through ballistics.
“This is a community problem and it’s going to take the entire community getting involved to fix it,” Sheriff Lott said. “Parents, community groups, and churches all working together with law enforcement.”
21-year-old Michael Abara (DOB: 06/11/2003) was arrested on May 30th and is charged with aggravated breach of peace.
19-year-old Tramell Richardson (DOB: 03/07/2005) was arrested on June 3rd and is charged with aggravated breach of peace, assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.
17-year-old Donrae Frierson (DOB: 03/15/07) was arrested on June 10th and is charged with aggravated breach of peace and assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.
19-year-old Kaelon Dixon (DOB: 02/27/2005) was arrested on June 12th and is charged with aggravated breach of peace and assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.
17-year-old Patrick Oliver (DOB: 08/19/06) was arrested on and is charged with aggravated breach of peach and assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.
17-year-old Treshawn Keller (DOB: 08/19/2006) was arrested at the scene the day of the incident. He was charged as an adult with Aggravated Breach of Peace, Possession of a Stolen Piston, Unlawful Possession of a Machine Gun, Unlawful Carry, and Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature.
