ARREST IN STRING OF BURGLARIES

Sheriff Leon Lott announces the arrest of two brothers and another man responsible for a string of burglaries.

Investigators arrested 20-year-old Nicholas Frye (DOB: 05/05/03) on Feb. 20, 2024, his 19-year-old brother, Marcus Frye (DOB: 09/12/04) and 21-year-old Austin Harmon (DOB: 08/21/02) on Feb. 23, 2024 in connection with 20 burglaries and stolen trailer incidents.

All of the incidents occurred within five miles of the Frye brothers’ residence located at the 3000 block of Kennerly Road beginning in January of this year. Trailers, lawn equipment, power tools and spare tires were stolen in these incidents.

Marcus Frye is charged with five counts of Burglary 2nd, six counts of Grand Larceny, 14 counts of Petit Larceny and one count of Breaking into an Auto. He received a $345,400 surety bond.

Nicholas Frye is charged with five counts of Burglary 2nd, three counts of Grand Larceny, 11 counts of Petit Larceny and one count of Breaking into an Auto and his bond was set as a $50,000 surety bond.

Austin Harmon was charged with one count of Accessory Before the Fact and his bond was set at a $7,500 surety bond.

Richland County Investigators are asking for anyone who purchased trailers or saws from the Frye brothers, to please contact Inv. Oxendale at 803-576-3000. These items may have been stolen and need to be returned to the victims.
