Sheriff Leon Lott announces an arrest in the murder of a man last weekend.

Ahmad Cook II (DOB: 12/3/1998) is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime for the killing of 27-year-old Charles Fulk on April 3.
Deputies were called to the 500 block of South Beltline Blvd around 6:30 that morning in reference to a shooting. When they arrived, they found a man lying on the ground in the parking lot who had been shot in the upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cook was arrested without incident late Wednesday evening by the Sheriff’s Fugitive Task Force during a traffic stop on I-20 near Two Notch Road. He has been booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
