7/27/20

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott announces additional charges filed against Timothy T. Shells who was arrested on Friday for the slaying of 55-year-old Dexter Craft.

Shells — DOB: 7/8/89 — was charged on Monday with armed robbery, in addition to the murder charge he was arrested for on Friday. After stabbing Craft to death, Shells robbed Craft of his belongings, including his wallet.

Craft was found dead on Thursday shortly before 2 p.m., at a home in the 200 block of Woodcrest Drive.

The investigation revealed Craft and Shells — who lived at the same home on Woodcrest Drive — got into an argument that turned physical and ended with Shells stabbing Craft.

Shells was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center in the early hours of Saturday morning.
