The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Filipe Novais De Oliverira, 39,
with four counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor – Victim 11 to 14 Years of Age, and
Trafficking in Persons – Victim Under 18 Years of Age – 1st Offence. SLED also charged Lais
Olivetti Silva, 38, with Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor – Victim 11 to 14 Years of Age
and Trafficking in Persons – Victim Under 18 Years of Age – 1st Offence. De Oliveria and Silva
are married. SLED charged both subjects on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
The Hanahan Police Department requested the SLED investigation. The Tri-County Human
Trafficking Task Force and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) assisted in the investigation.
