RCSD deputies and investigators responded to the Volkswagen dealership on Killian just before 11:00 am today in reference to a person being shot. When deputies arrived on scene, they located one male with gunshot wounds; EMS has transported him to a local hospital for treatment. The patient was alive at the time he was being transported.
Suspect(s) fled the scene before deputies’ arrival. This is believed to be an isolated incident. The scene is secured. However, please avoid the dealership at this time to give investigators space to work.

Sheriff Leon Lott announces the arrest of Joshua Ramdeen (DOB: 10/16/88) in connection to a shooting that occurred on September 26, 2025, at the Volkswagen dealership on Killian Road (440 Killian Rd).
On September 26, just before 11:00am, deputies responded to the dealership in reference to a shooting that just occurred. When deputies arrived on scene they located one adult male, Ramdeen, with a gunshot wound to the upper body. Deputies were advised that two other individuals had been involved in the shooting and left the scene.
Investigators quickly identified the two other individuals that were involved and made contact. Further investigation revealed that Ramdeen and the two other individuals are known to one another. Ramdeen confronted the two individuals while they were conducting business at the location. A verbal altercation ensued between Ramdeen and one of the two individuals, identified as the victim in this case. At that time, Ramdeen pulled out a gun, threatening the victim. In defense, the victim was able to take Ramdeen’s firearm and began to fight off Ramdeen. During this struggle, the firearm discharged striking Ramdeen. The victim was not injured.
Ramdeen was transported to a local hospital for treatment. When he is discharged, he will be transported to Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. Ramdeen is charged with Pointing and Presenting and Assault and Battery 1st Degree.
At this time, investigators do not anticipate any further charges.
