The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Douglas McFadden Jr., 41, with
four counts of Ill Treatment of Animals, four counts of Animal Fighting or Baiting, and Criminal
Conspiracy on Thursday, September 11, 2025. The Lake City Police Department requested the
SLED investigation.
Cruelty towards animals is a vile and outrageous creation of ourselves.
It’s an extension of ourselves. My only hope is that these people endure the same cruelty during their life time
