Sheriff Leon Lott announces the arrest of Crystal Gamble (DOB: 11/25/88), a district employee at Richland Northeast High School, after she brought a firearm onto school grounds.
On September 15, 2025, around 7:30am, School Resource Officers were alerted by the metal detector that there was a firearm in Gamble’s bag. SROs immediately secured the firearm and detained Gamble. SROs confirmed that Gamble is the legal owner of the gun; she reportedly forgot the firearm was in her bag.
Gamble was charged with Carrying Weapon on School Property and transported to Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
