The Richland County Sheriff’s Department announces the arrest of Jerry Williams, 33 (DOB: 03/17/92).
On September 14, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., deputies were dispatched to call for a shooting at 8310 Two Notch Rd. Deputies arrived on scene and located a victim with a gunshot wound to the upper body. Deputies rendered aid until EMS arrived on scene and transported the victim to the hospital.
While on scene, deputies learned that an argument between Williams and the victim led to Williams shooting the victim. RCSD investigators and the Crime Scene Unit responded to investigate.
Williams was charged with Attempted Murder and Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime. Williams was transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center, where he is awaiting a bond hearing.
