North Charleston Man Arrested On Six Child Sexual Abuse Material Charges

South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of Arturo Vega Cruzado, 43, of North Charleston, S.C., on six charges connected to the sexual exploitation of minors. Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office made the arrest. Investigators with Homeland Security Investigations, the Mount Pleasant Police Department, and the S.C. Department of Probation, Parole, and Pardon, all of whom are also members of the state’s ICAC Task Force, assisted with the investigation.

Investigators state Cruzado possessed files of child sexual abuse material.

Cruzado was arrested on August 14, 2025. He is charged with six counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, third degree (§16-15-410), a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count.

The Attorney General’s Office will prosecute this case.
