The Richland County Sheriff’s Department announces the arrest of Segura, Cody (DOB: 07/09/1997).
On June 30, 2025, just after 5:00 p.m., deputies received a call about a dispute occurring at a residence on the 1500 block of Chain Gang Rd. While responding to the location, dispatch updated deputies that shots had been fired. When deputies arrived on the scene, a male victim was found with a gunshot wound to the upper body. EMS and CFD responded and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.
Segura was located on the scene and detained by deputies. He was transported to RCSD’s Pineview office and interviewed by investigators. He was subsequently charged with Murder and Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime. He was transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center, where he is currently awaiting a bond hearing.
