Rockingham’s Fast Food Not So Fast

When the concept of Fast food started it was with the simple idea of getting people quality food quickly.

MACDONALDS:

Places like McDonalds began growing quickly with a guaranteed system for this. But this system fails in Rockingham!

Many customers and delivery drivers are forced to wait starting at 25 minutes for orders. In many cases the cause root is the employees constant socializing. Doors are closed the majority of the time by 8:30 P.M.. And people are then forced to wait in long lines while one car is serviced every 20 minutes.

Hygiene is another lacking aspect to this MacDonalds. The kitchen staff is allowed to wear their pants down below their knees and walk around with ear buds listening to music and playing around.

Staff members have been seen not washing their hands and none wear any hair nets or beard guards. It was observed at one point that a couple of employees were grooming each other’s hair and then touching food.

One would imagine at $15 an hour some professionalism would come with it.

This MacDonalds ranks a 3 out of 7 for customer service.

BOJANGLES:

Once again we find that fast is not the motto here. Many customers are forced to wait long periods for simple orders. This Bojangles is also in the habit of running out of food at the rush of busy periods.

Repeated apologies from staff does not fix the issues.

Bojangles receives a 2 out of 7 for long wait periods.

CAPTAIN D’S:

Here customers are treated cordially and food is served in a timely manner. The staff keeps a professional appearance at all times and even when lightly socializing the customers are always taken care of.

Captain D’s receives a 6 out of 7 for professionalism.

BURGER KING

Burger King on Broad Avenue is one if the exceptions on this track of fast food road. Customers are treated professionally and orders are done in a very timely manner. The staff here is above the norm and always speaks with customers and keeps them informed of their orders.

Burger King receives a 6 out 7 for speed and professionalism.

ZAXBY’S

Zaxby’s can go either way honestly. It all depends if the staff has chosen to show up for work.

When staffed properly food is delivered quickly. Most of the staff are curious and professional. The only real negative here is staffing, those who don’t want to work should be let go. And applaud those employees who are dedicated.

Zaxby’s receives a 4 out of 7.

The last and perhaps best is…

PIZZA INN

A blast from the past still holding strong. From the moment you walk in staff acknowledge you and you are seated promptly. Waitresses are always friendly and the food is always hot.

Their buffet always has a variety of pizza’s available. And if you want something special all you have to do is ask.

Pizza Inn on Broad Avenue receives a 7 out 7.
