A student at Lower Richland High School is charged with bringing a gun to school.
This afternoon, March 15, a 16-year-old was found in possession of an unloaded handgun after an anonymous tip was made to the school resource officer. The handgun was reported stolen out of Richland County.
The juvenile is charged with possession of a stolen weapon, possession of a weapon on school grounds, and simple possession of marijuana.
The student was booked into the juvenile wing of Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
