SLED MAKES MORE ARRESTS IN ABUSE OF VULNERABLE ADULT CASE

Agents of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division Wednesday arrested two individuals in connection to an ongoing investigation where residents at the Pee Dee Regional Center in Florence County were abused.

Jo Ann James Graves, 63, who has been previously charged in this case, was charged with four additional counts of abuse of vulnerable adult.

Anjelica Pertrice Myers, 31, was charged with abuse of vulnerable adult and two counts of failure to report abuse of vulnerable adult.

The SLED investigation was requested by the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs.

The individuals were booked at the Florence County Detention Center.

The case will be prosecuted by the 12th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
