SLED CHARGES SEVEN ADDITIONAL INDIVIDUALS IN ABUSE OF VULNERABLE ADULT CASE

Agents of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division this week arrested seven individuals in connection to a May 3rd, 2021 incident where a resident at the Pee Dee Regional Center in Florence County was abused.

Anne Joyce Hensley, 24, and Aaliyah Devoiyah Kinlaw, 24, were both charged with the abuse of a vulnerable adult.

Jacquline Williams, 70, Wendy Jean-Etienne, 59, Jean German, 56, Amy McLean, 46, and Susan Gail Baker, 41, each was charged with failure to report the abuse of a vulnerable adult.

The SLED investigation was requested by the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs.

The individuals were booked into the Florence County Detention Center on Wednesday and released.

The case will be prosecuted by the 12th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
