Additional Person Charged in Motorcycle Shop Incident

Sheriff Leon Lott announces an additional arrest in connection with the Mar. 11 incident at a motorcycle shop where a violent confrontation between rival gangs left one man dead and three others injured.

Dawonda Thomas-Powell (DOB: 2/19/1972) was arrested yesterday, Mar. 22, at Capital City Cycles where she is an employee. She is charged with assault by mob in the 1st degree and obstruction.

Thomas-Powell conspired with gang members to confront the opposing gang and after the incident, attempted to conceal her involvement.

Thomas-Powell was booked at Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
