Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott announces an officer-involved shooting investigation, following an incident where a deputy was shot at while responding to an emergency call.

On Monday, Nov. 2, deputies responded to reports of a domestic incident in the 2500 block of Marathon Drive around 1:40 p.m. As the deputy arrived on scene, the suspect began firing at the deputy’s vehicle. The deputy returned fire from within his vehicle, striking the suspect in the upper body.
