Mainstream Media Outlets Silent Over 5 Year Old Boy Execution

NBC, CNN, ABC and CBS chose to remain silent over the execution of 5 year old Cannon Hinnant.

Cannon Hinnant age 5

Family members said Cannon Hinnant was playing outside his father’s house when he was shot in the head. The boy’s two sisters, ages 8 and 7, saw their brother get shot, according to Cannon’s mother. Cannon was taken to Wilson Medical Center, where he died.

A report states that Darious Sessoms (25 yrs. old) ran up to Cannon and shot him in the head, before returning to his home. Sessoms was later arrested in a Goldsboro, N.C. residents.

As this story is heartbreaking that a 5 year old boy was shot and killed execution style was not enough, not one major news media outlet covered it.

Now on Social Media one can look up hundreds of Facebook post on Cannon Hinnant with outcries of families and friends. The question has been asked why was this not a major story for them to cover? Some people have suggested it was not covered because it did not play into the Mainstream Media narrative of the current times… Race!

Cannon Hinnant a white 5 year old boy shot and killed by Darious Sessoms a black 25 year old man, did not play into the main narrative of Black Lives Matter stories run by these alleged News Moguls.

Forget race! A 5 year old boy was shot and killed by a 25 year old man IS THE STORY! As I find it hard to contain my contempt for these “It Bleeds, It Leads” news corporations I also am overwhelmed with thoughts of my children and Hinnants family, and the pain they are suffering.

Police believe convicted felon Darius Sessoms approached the young boy earlier this week and shot him in the head in front of his two young sisters in North Carolina. He had no apparent motive except for a family member’s theory that Hinnant rode his bicycle through Sessoms’s yard.

Daniel Horowitz of Conservative Review pointed out the several felony convictions on Sessoms’s record and asked in an article, titled “Justice for 5-year-old Cannon Hinnant means locking up violent criminals,” why the alleged killer wasn’t locked up in the first place.

“Why aren’t Republican senators in North Carolina pushing endless legislation to toughen sentencing on gun and drug felons and parole violators who are almost always the sort of people who wind up committing these heinous acts?” Horowitz wrote in reference to the suspected killer’s criminal record. “Instead, both parties are obsessing about weakening our system even more under the guise of a racial inequality that is actually the other way around.”

Horowitz also asked why race was a prevalent issue in the death of George Floyd while in police custody in Minneapolis, but the death of Hinnant is ignored by national media outlets.

“In the new America that is driven by racial politics rather than justice, what do you think would happen if a white man killed a 5-year-old black boy on his bike execution-style, regardless of racial motivations?”

He continued: “This happened in Wilson, North Carolina, except it was a black man and a white boy. Now there are crickets from the political class. No kneeling, foot-washing, renaming of American symbols, endless legislation to lock up career criminals like this alleged perpetrator, or frantic press releases from every organization known to man to mourn the loss of life. And most certainly, there seems to be no expectation of rioting. Why not?”

A GoFundMe account has been established to raise money for Hinnant’s family and has raised over $100,000.
