The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an incident involving the shooting of a 3-year-old.
At 6 p.m., deputies responded to Brighton Hill Apartments to reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they were told that a 3-year-old child had accidentally shot himself with a gun. The child was rushed to the hospital by someone at the home. His condition is unknown at this time.
The investigation is ongoing. No one is detained at this time. We will provide additional details at they become available.
