Agents of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division Monday arrested a former law enforcement officer with the Easley Police Department for sending explicit messages and photos to a person under the age of 18 while serving as a School Resource Officer (SRO) at Easley High School.
Yusef L. Kelly, 38, was charged with solicitation of a minor, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, disseminating obscene material to a person under the age of 18, along with misconduct in office.
The request for the SLED investigation was made by the Easley Police Department.
Kelly was booked at the Pickens County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 13th Circuit Solicitor’s Office
