11 Juveniles Charged with Lynching and Gang Solicitation

Deputies with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office have charges 11 juveniles with Lynching (3rd degree) and Gang Solicitation (S.C. Code Ann. 16-8-240) following an investigation into an incident that occurred on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at West Florence High School in Florence, SC. Law enforcement became aware of the incident, which occurred during after-school hours, on Friday, August 13, 2021. After viewing multiple videos shared on social media outlets and interviewing multiple witnesses, deputies believe the incident was gang-related. All suspects have been released to the custody of parents or guardians.
