The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting incident that sent a man to the hospital.
Deputies were dispatched to the Cheap Way gas station (1854 Shop Rd) for a shooting with a person hit around 6:20 this evening, July 9.
As deputies arrived on scene, the victim who had been shot in the lower body, was already in an ambulance being transported to the hospital for treatment.
This is an ongoing investigation and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
In the meantime, anyone who saw something or has any information is asked to submit a tip to Crime Stoppers at crimesc.com. Tipsters may remain anonymous.
