Smart Criminal in Kershaw County

On December 9th, 2020 Sheriff Lee Boan of Kershaw County posted on Facebook a request from the Citizens for aid to apprehend a suspect who burglarized a BP Station near the Fairfield County line.

4h  · ARREST MADE IN WRIGHTWAY BP BURGLARYYour KCSO deputies have made an arrest on the subject who recently burglarized the Wrightway BP on Hwy 34 near the Fairfield County line. A citizen tip and a new Facebook profile picture lead to the arrest.The subject was just released from prison about two weeks before this incident.A HUGE THANK YOU TO THE CITIZEN AND THE SUBJECT FOR THEIR HELP SOLVING THIS CRIME!!!

Kershaw County Sheriff Lee Boan posts several such assistance requests to Facebook and other Social Media outlets. So, beware of updating your social media profile before or after committing a crime. The Facebook Police Squad is looking and watching for you.
